Kanger ProTank 4 Evolution
Kangertech was responsible for inventing the very first Glassomizer in the world with their original Protank; since then, many tanks have been created out of inspiration of the 2013 Protank’s original glass sleeve construction. Vapers know that Kangertech has been a highly influential factor behind the steady growth of the global vaping industry over the years. You may recall a review I did a while back discussing the differences between the Kanger ProTank 2 and 3. This was back when the ProTank series were one of the best Mouth To Lung (MTL) tanks available at the time. So now let me introduce you to the Kanger ProTank 4 Evolved.
Kanger ProTank 4 Review
The Kangertech Protank 4 has gone sub-ohm with the new ceramic ssocc coils.
The Kanger ProTank 4 Evolved is now primarily a sub-ohm tank. This is probably a smart move since sub-ohm vaping has really gained popularity in the last few years. However, it does come with a nichrome SSOCC 1.05ohm atomizer head which is used primarily for MTL (above-ohm) vaping. So it is nice to see that this tank is adaptable to both styles of vaping.
The material consists mainly of 304 stainless steel, giving it a very high degree of durability and resistance to corrosion. A rectangular window to view the eJuice level is incorporated into the design .
It has been outfitted with a 5 mL tank made of glass, which has a much higher degree of resistance to the corrosive properties of e-juices than plastic tanks. Many Vapers claim that acid-resistant glass tanks allow for a stronger concentration of flavor to be drawn from the e-liquid.

The ProTank 4 utilizes a top side refill to replenish the eJuice.
You can add e-Liquid to the tank without having to unscrew it from your device like in previous models. The eJuice can be refilled without disassembly through a top side refill slot that you unscrew and lift up.
There is no extra glass tank that comes with this tank. If it cracks or breaks, you might as well throw it away. To reduce the risk of accidentally shattering the tank due to a sudden slip of hand, the tank is framed in a stainless steel protective exterior shell.
Air Flow
At both the tank’s base and underneath the drip tip, there are two airflow control valves. With the bottom airflow valve, you have the ability to adjust the tightness of the hit. The more wide open the airflow, the easier the draw. It also tends to create more vapor. The opposite is true when you limit the bottom airflow. The draw becomes tighter and the vapor is diminished.
The upper airflow valve adjusts the temperature of the vapor. Keeping the drip tip airflow shut creates a warmer temperature and a slightly tighter draw. Sliding it to the wide open position creates a cooler temperature and a slightly looser draw. The stainless steel drip tip also features Delrin in its constitution. Delrin is capable of resisting particularly high temperatures because of its crystalline composition. The drip tip’s size is 510.

The Velocity Style PRO RBA Deck comes with Prebuilt Dual Clapton Coils set at 0.3ohm.
Protank 4 Coils
Kangertech’s Protank 4 package includes an RBA Deck, a nichrome SSOCC 1.05ohm atomizer head, and a ceramic SSOCC 0.5ohm atomizer head. The nichrome head is designed for MTL vaping, while the ceramic head is designed for Direct Lung Inhalation (DLI).
Although new coils have been created specifically for this tank, the Protank 4 will accept all previous Kangertech SSOCC atomizer coils as well. The wickless coils allow the unit to absorb the e-juice, which some users have reported to result in longer preservation of the flavors.
