The latest mod to join the ranks of Innokin’s iTaste MVP series was announced by the brand with all the subtlety of King Kong on Skull Island. The Innokin iTaste MVP 4.0 has been touted as a chest-beating, growling, vapor-spewing beast with enough power to shim the space shuttle. Okay, we’re exaggerating, but Innokin has definitely let it be known that the MVP 4 is laden with some impressive stroke. Let’s take a look and see if we can’t manage to peek behind the hype to see what’s really going on with this box mod.

Detailed review on the MVP 4.0 TC 100W.
Introducing the iTaste MVP 4.0
Right away you’re going to notice some similarities to the MVP3. Hey, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. The iTaste MVP series has been one of top sellers for Innokin, a fairly respected name in the industry. The goal seems to have been to keep what was great about previous versions and add a few tweaks to improve the rest. In that regard, the MVP4 is a success.
The battery of the device is a built-in 4500 mAh monster that pretty much remains unchanged from it’s previous design. We’re talking hours of vaping time on a single charge, but here’s the rub. The Innokin iTaste MVP 4.0 has a lot more going on in terms of power output. You could expect the older model to reasonably churn out 30W (even though Innokin has it rated at 60W). This mod delivers 100W of max power. That’s going to affect overall battery life, of course, and then there is the matter of the power bank.
MVP4 Power Bank
Wait. What? A power bank. As in you can use this mod to charge your mobile phone, tablet, and other electronic devices. Before you scoff at that, think about it. It’s actually pretty handy. Your mod already goes everywhere your phone goes, you know it does, so this is convenient and makes a kind of crude sense. If we’re being honest this feature is something you might not use. For starters, ask yourself if you put your favorite mod down long enough to charge something with it. Yeah, we didn’t think so. Still, it’s comforting to know it’s there.
The mod uses an Aethon microchip. This supports advanced temperature control, anti-dry fire technology, and integrated charging as well as overheat protection. It’s a durable little unit. The MVP4 will take pretty much everything you can throw at it and answer the bell every time. You’ve got all the standard functions and customizations of the previous model available and the LED is big and bright.
Is it Worth it?
All this sounds pretty good but what you really want to know is how well it performs. You’ll be able to get some decent clouds with this one and the draw is strong. Flavor presents well, too, especially when you make the right tweaks. With that being said, is there a vast difference between the performance of the MVP4 and MVP3? If you evaluate them according to their own specs, not really. Both do a respectable job in dishing out clouds and flavor.
If you’re one of those people that likes a certain device and can’t wait to get your hands on the latest model (think iPhone madness here), then your expectations for the Innokin iTaste MVP 4.0 are mostly going to be satisfied. We’re a little curious as to where Innokin goes from here, though. Better chipsets? A bigger battery and a pair of jumper cables? Really, the company has to be credited for maxing out available technologies to offer nice mods at a reasonable price. They scored with that here.

Who the Innokin iTaste MVP 4.0 is Designed For
First and foremost, Innokin designed the MVP 4 for fans of the MVP series. If you’ve used the MVP3, you’ll appreciate this mod. Innokin has to be given credit here for the continued development of a popular model and building some brand loyalty. The mod is also targeted at experienced vapers who are comfortable working their way around the various settings and adjustments that can be achieved with a sub ohm rig. Finally, tech nerds will go nuts over the power bank function.
The Innokin MVP 4 carries on the tradition of the series in an admirable way. It's biggest achievement may be that it gives brand loyalists just enough new functionality to guarantee anticipation for the next incarnation of the device.
